Joyce Laboso apparently lost the battle to ovarian cancer.
Laboso’s illness has been a closely guarded secret with no one revealing what she was apparently suffering from until yesterday when she.
Even after her death, the family and the leaders who spoke at the Lee Funeral Home only mentioned that she died of cancer but not specifying the type of cancer that had claimed her life.
A source at the hospital stated that Laboso has been battling ovarian cancer since 1991 this means she has lived with the killer disease for approximately 28 years.
“As it has been mentioned, She has actually suffered for a long time but we kept it under wraps because she did not want it to deter her duty and all the things she has been working on, ” said Laboso’s husband Edwin Abonyo.
Abonyo further asked everyone to reciprocate Laboso’s strength by being strong for her during this difficult time.
Laboso leaves behind a husband and three children.
