Apart from his meme worthy statements and facial expressions, health cabinet secretary, Kagwe Mutahi, is a gift that keeps on giving.

Kagwe has shocked and surprised many after revealing that Kahush, the ‘mi Siwezi’ hit maker is his son.

In fact, he also confirmed that Kagwe Mungai the seasoned musician is his nephew.

Speaking in an interview with Citizen TV, Kagwe spoke highly of his son, praising his talents and that of his family members.

Kahush is my youngest son, he’s name is actually kahumburu. Somewhere along the line kahumburu became Kahush.

He is a student, he is a first year student at Nottingham University in the UK, he is also a rapper and a good one too. I listen to his music sometimes, you know ‘Mi siwezi’ and so on and so forth.

Asked why he chose to support his son’s ambitions and the direction he took in life, Kagwe said.

I think every person’s life is different, the life that I lead is not the one my father did and therefore I think my children are going to have their own lives also.

I mean after the age of 21 you are an adult, you curve your own curve and you use what talents God has given to you.

So in our family we got people that are musicians, Kagwe Mungai my nephew is the other one.

We have golfers, Mutahi and Njoroge and Kagwe.

I think it is very important for us to support as a parent.

After the famed “You can gerrit, I can gerrit” meme song, Kagwe jokingly revealed that he has been trying to convince his son to do another song titled ‘Mi naweza’ to drive the Corona message home.

I was actually pursuading him to sing another song called ‘Mi naweza’
