Moments after Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu announced the antcipated 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results, candidates started receiving their grades from across the country.
However, the CS’s move to conceal the names of top performers irked Kenyans expecially the students,teachers and parents.
In the results in public eye so far,Roberto Carlos of Mbita High School emerged as the top student in the national examinations with a grade of A plain of 84 points, among several students who scored 84 points so far.
He was followed by Kairu Vincent Kinyua of Mangu High School with an A of 84 points and Swan Michael Ngweno of Maseno High School with an A of 84 points.
Ghetto Radio also established that Njagi Ronnie Gathuku, a student from Alliance High School, also scored a straight A of 84 points, scoring straight As in all seven subjects.

5.Mwaniki Winnie Abigail (A, 83 points) Mary Hill Girls High School
6.Gitimbu Franklin Koome (A, 83 points) Kitui High School
7.Kenda Jemosop Elizabeth (A, 83 points) Kenya High School.
Grade A (plain) starts from 81 points all the way to 84 points, which is the maximum.
A total of 881,416 candidates sat for the 2022 KCSE exams. Out of these 443,644 were male while 437,772 were female.
