The national carrier has pledged its support to the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) in light of ongoing investigations. The airline welcomed the inquiries in response to a letter from the DCI. The DCI earlier asked for a series of documents for the probe on how the airline lost Kshs 100 billion in operational missteps.

Abdalla Komesha of the Banking Fraud Investigation Unit wrote to the airline’s CEO on the matter. In the letter, he asked for procurement guidelines since 2015 and the procurement plan for the last two years.
