It will be an all Kenyan affair in the men’s and women’s singles finals at this year’s Kenya Open tennis championship.

Three time champion Ismael Changawa will take on Ibrahim Kibet in the men’s final while favorite Shufaa Changawa will face fast rising Angela Okutoyi in the ladies final set to serve this Saturday at the Nairobi Club.

As expected the first men’s semifinal pitting Kenya’s top seed Ismael Changawa and 17yr old Albert Njogu was a crowd puller.

Both players displayed outstanding skills in the first set which Changawa won 6-3 despite being stretched on several occasions.

Three time champion Shufaa Changawa will face Angela Okutoyi in the ladies singles final.

Changawa defeated Madagascar’s Narindra Ranaivo by two straight sets while Okutoyi trounced compatriot Alicia Owegi by the same margin to advance to the finals.

Meanwhile, First lady Margret Kenyatta made a rare appearance at the Nairobi Club to watch the semifinals of this year’s Kenya open tennis championship.
