The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) has announced the rollout of a mobile-based service designed to facilitate investment in government securities dubbed CBK-TMD.

“The Bank is pleased to inform you about the rollout of the Treasury Mobile Direct (TMD) services, designed to facilitate investment in Government Securities using the mobile telephone.”

CBK-TMD will enable you to access the following services on your mobile phone;

  • Place applications/bids for Treasury Bills and Treasury Bonds.
  • Receive Auction results.
  • Receive notifications for payments made.
  • Query your CDS account.
  • Query Treasury Bills and Bonds on offer.
