Kenya’s Khaaliqa Sadruddin Nimji bowed out of the Commonwealth Games after losing by three sets to Barbados Meagan Best in their round of 64, women’s singles squash match at the ongoing Commonwealth games in Birmigham, UK.
Nimji returning to her third commonwealth games lost 1-11,11-0, 11-0 to exit the championship at the first hurdle. Prior to the games Nimji had been preparing under the guidance of former Kenya National champion Prince Mukuka.
Kenya is being represented by Nimji’s sibling Muktadir Nimji in the men’s singles category.Muktadir also suffered the same fate putting on brave fight before losing in three straight sets to his round of 64 opponents Scottish Rory Stewart.
Stewart won in 11-7,13-11, 11-4 to book his round of 32 slot.
