The death toll from vehicles smash-up Kikopey Trading Center along the Nakuru-Naivasha Highway has risen to seven after two more people succumbed to injuries.
The 5am accident had initially claimed five people, four adults and a child but sources indicate the death toll currently stands at seven.
The accident involved two matatus belonging to Mololine Bus Companies that rammed onto a lorry that was stalled along the climbing lane facing towards Nairobi direction.
“According to a statement from the National Police Service (NPS), the 5:00 am accident occurred when two matatus belonging to Nairobi and Mololine Bus companies rammed into a lorry that had stalled along the road’s climbing lane.” An update by the National Police Service indicates.
