A man was on Wednesday arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) after a loaded firearm was found hidden on the ceiling of his house in Kisian, Kisumu County.
Fredrick Odhiambo Nudu was nabbed following tip off from members of the public and a pistol make Jericho with six rounds of ammunition recovered.
The suspect was among four arrested on Wednesday during an ongoing investigation into rampant cases of gun violence in the area.
The other three include; Mercy Akinyi (22), Enock Ochieng (28) and Edward Okumu (28).
“The suspects remain in lawful custody assisting in further investigations as war on Criminal Violence intensifies,” said the DCI.
