National carrier Kenya Airways (KQ) has named Allan Kilavuka as interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
In a statement on Monday, December 16, the airline said Kilavuka, who is Jambojet boss, will head KQ in an acting capacity effective from Wednesday, January 1, 2020, as hunt for a permanent CEO continues.
In a separate story in May 2019, outgoing CEO Sebastian Mikosz announced he was set to exit from the position at the end of 2019 for personal reasons.
The CEO will leave five months before the close of his three-year contract. Mikosz took over from Mbuvi Ngunze in 2017.
