Laikipia County governor Nderitu Muriithi has assured residents of his commitment in fighting human-wildlife conflict that have continued to terrorize them.

While addressing a staff meeting in Nyahururu town, the governor said measures to curb the effects of wildlife invasion to private farms and homesteads are underway.

The governor said they have incorporated scientists who will look into the immigration treads of the elephants claiming that the elephants invading farms fail to find their way into the forest ending up in people’s farms.

The county boss added that the KWS had authorized for a helicopter that will help herd the jumbos back to the forest.
