The sad news was announced by his mentor VDJ Jones,

DJ Mike Kay was loved by many who loved his world view on life.
Some of his last posts on social media showed what kind of person he was.
One of the posts had profound wisdom.
DJ Mike Kay wrote,

A little over two weeks after celebrating his birthday, DJ Mike Kay bid farewell to the world.
Celebrating his birthday on April 13, he wrote, “Today, I just want to thank God for adding another year to my life.”
