Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o turned 40 today and he admitted that never in his wildest dreams did he think he would be where he is today.

Having risen from a fisherman to a comedian, radio host and eventually a legislator, Jalas is optimistic that he can still achieve more.

“This far I thank God! Never believed or thought in my wildest dreams that we would be here where we are at 40,” he shared.

Taking stock of how life has been for him, he acknowledged that it has not been a smooth ride.

He looked back at his losses and gains and was proud of his achievements as he looks forward to what life has in store for him.

“Life has shown me all but I know and I believe there is more! Let life begin! I have won, I have lost, I have laughed I have cried! I have learnt! I never gave up! I am Forever indebted to the people, and the community that has given me soo much! Happy birthday to me! God got me,” he added.

Just a month ago, Jalang’o revealed that he intends to vie for the top seat in the country at some point. In an undated video clip that circulated on social media, Jalas was captured saying that he met with President William Ruto to gain valuable leadership skills.

“I’m telling you I’m getting those skills and I know I will become the first person from the Luo community to become president. You will remember the statement I’m telling you today when a boy from Gem constituency gets declared president,” he shared.

In the clip, Jalas went on to share that he was drawn to Ruto by the fact that he has never lost an election and he would be glad to learn from him.

“…I went to Ruto to learn skills of winning elections because Ruto has never lost elections since he entered politics. I went to learn how he (Ruto) has been getting it right,” he said.
