Celebrity makeup artist and LGBTQ community member Dennis Karuri is considering taking an asylum following the tragic death of LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba.
Karuri broke down on TikTok while mourning Chiloba who was killed and his body stashed in a metallic box.
Amidst tears, he asked people to stop killing queer people, “You guys, I honestly have no idea what happened to Edwin Chiloba, but I hope it has nothing to do with how he identifies. It’s so sad, it’s so scary. You guys have no idea. Please stop killing people.”
The video captioned, “Seeking asylum is now an option more than ever,” has Karuri breakind dwon severally.

A number of Kenyans including activists and celebrities have taken to their social media pages to mourn Chiloba.
“I can’t believe it! Why Edwin? He’d never hurt anyone! Always showing love and moving with love any chance he got. The world has lost the sweetest soul. I’ve lost a friend. My love @its_edwinchiloba my heart BLEEDS for you,” wrote Michelle Ntalami.
