NAIROBI, Kenya, Sep 28 – Former Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards head coach Zdravko Logarusc has made a return to the country and has been named the new Police FC head coach.
Francis Baraza, who was appointed last season and led the team to a third place finish in the FKF Premier League has been fired, after failing to win the first four matches of the season.
Salim Babu will retain his position as assistant coach, with Abdul Iddi Salim also said to have left the club. Logarusic took the team through its training session at the Police Sacco Stadium on Thursday morning.
The script is familiar for Police, with Baraza having also arrived a few matches into the start of last season after his predecessor Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo was also shown the door after a difficult start.
