It is important to recognise that the time and energy to get over something is different for every individual and to practise patience when dealing with other people. If you feel someone has stagnated on a problem, good advice may be to seek professional counselling, join a support group for people going through the same thing, keeping a journal, finding a mentor who has negotiated a similar problem or simply allowing the person time to heal.
