Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa has laughed off claims of a possible by-election in Malindi constituency following her expulsion from ODM party.

The vocal Malindi MP while urging her constituents not to panic says she owes no one an apology for her decision to support Deputy President William Ruto.

Jumwa who was expelled from ODM party on Friday, seems less disturbed by the party’s decision.

Jumwa who was treated to a grand reception in her constituency on Saturday has rubbished rumors of a by-election saying she will serve her full term as per the law.

She accused ODM party leader Raila Odinga of applying double standards to have her expelled from the party for supporting deputy president William Ruto saying she was extending the same political truce he made with President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Meanwhile her Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori has lauded ODM party for giving him a lifeline after sparing him the expulsion axe and vowed to support it going forward.

Dori is however expected to appear before the party’s governing council to explain why he should not be expelled.
