An unidentified man has died in a mysterious fire incident that happened in Nairobi’s Buruburu Phase 5.
Residents of the Estate woke up to the site of the man’s body burnt beyond recognition in the driver’s seat.
Residents were also shocked at the fact that the body of the victim was well placed on the driver’s seat and only the car’s interior was burnt while the exterior remained completely clean.
The deceased identified as Terance Korir aged 36 years burnt to death in his car, a Subaru Impreza, at the parking yard of Mai Mahiu court along Katulo Road in Buruburu Phase 5.
Buruburu SCPC Adamson Bungei told reporters that officers are currently treating it as a fire incident and confirmed that the remains were of a male adult.
“As of now we cannot divulge much and we can only treat it as a fire incident and once we finish the various investigations, we are following then we can know what transpired, but for now it is a fire incident,” he said
The body was taken to City Mortuary.
