The first phase of the multi-million shilling Kilifi Health Complex is almost complete.
The complex is aimed at improving medical services in the county.
According to Kilifi Executive for Health Anisa Omar (pictured), the facility being put up in Kilifi town will begin operations in March 2020.
Phase one of the project is estimated to cost Sh400 million.
Phase two will cost Sh280 million. Ms Anisa said the complex will have a fully equipped renal unit, a trauma centre and an emergency unit.
Other facilities will include a diagnosis centre, X-ray, mammogram and radiotherapy services. She said it will also have an ICU to reduce the number of referrals to the Coast General Hospital in Mombasa.
