Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko was spotted on Sunday night in an all-white dress code and with expensive virtual reality goggles.
The VR goggles are approximated to have cost him a whooping Ksh 39,900.
They were bought in Dubai
The governor decided to use them for protection during the fumigation but are most used with video games but they are also used in other applications, including simulators and trainers.
Sonko informed his constituents,
As you enjoy your evening behind doors sisi tuko job fumigating Nairobi streets to combat the deadly #COVID19. Everyday during the dusk to dawn curfew, our health workers will be fumigating the city’s central business district and other busy locations to ensure the spread of the virus is contained.

In another post, Mheshimiwa shared a photo of him reading the Bible in Isaiah 26:20 which reads,
Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by.
He accompanied the post with a post that read;
What a coincidence this wonderful Sunday as we stay home. How great is our God, H.E the President announced the Government’s curfew on the 26th March 2020 and the Bible verse Isaiah 26:20 says, ‘Go home, my people and lock your doors! Hide yourself for a little while until the Lords’ anger has passed’.
Isn’t that amazing? And further to this, the Lord commanded a lockdown during passover in Egypt. When the Angel of death passed over, the Israelites were protected by the blood of the lamb. Thursday the 16th of April is when passover ends. As you all know that’s when our curfew/lockdown will be lifted. 21 days is the 16th! God’s timing is incredible. We are all protected watu wangu. So we might think it’s not hard to stay home but its from God.
