A thirteen-year-old Kenyan boy who featured in a missing child social media campaign launched by AS Roma has been found and reunited with his family.
The image of the child was featured on Twitter alongside one of Henrikh Mkhitaryan when the midfielder secured his loan move from Arsenal.
In a Twitter post, AS Roma revealed it had partnered with Missing Child Kenya to trace the boy in July.
“A 13-year-old Kenyan boy featured in the #ASRoma announcement video for Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been found safe and reunited with his family,” said the football club.
The teenager was found on the day the Armenian international made his AS Roma goal scoring debut.
The football club has since made several other videos of missing children from different parts of the world.
The three-time Serie A winners have partnered with two missing child charities, the US-based National Center for Missing, Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Telefono Azzurro, for the summer initiative.
