Mombasa gubernatorial race | Petition against IEBC filed at Mombasa High Court

A section of gubernatorial candidates in Mombasa want the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission to rescind its indefinite postponement of the gubernatorial election in Mombasa county. Flanked by the political leadership of the coastal town, the contenders have separately claimed the grounds laid down by the commission to warrant the postponement are baseless and unconstitutional, arguing tat the coastal town is yet to record any cases of insecurity that may instill fear in the commission.
