NAIROBI, KENYA: Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has increased price of Super Petrol by Sh 5 in a move that is likely to interfere with the budget of many motorists.

In Nairobi, super petrol will be retailing at Sh5 more while diesel and Kerosene increase by Sh2.24 and Sh2.40 per litre respectively.
In a communication, Energy Regulatory Commission said the changes have been a consequence of the average landed cost of imported super petrl increasing 11.39 per cent from US$620.54  per ton in March 2019 to US$ 691.25 per ton in April; Diesel increasing by 2.75 per cent from US$ 624.51 per ton to US$641.67 and Kerosene increasing by 2.00 per cent from US$662.55 per ton to US$675.82 per ton.
