Police have been asked to investigate activities of a group of Nairobi dwellers operating under the Umbrella of Concerned Citizens Alliance with growing fears that the group has been hijacked by a City woman tycoon to intimate her perceived enemies.
Significantly two members of the briefcase NGO with no known physical address, a one Lawrence Oyugi and George Bush have been identified as notorious faces, always on standby to identify their targets for extortion.
The group which is on intimidation and extortion spree is reliably being bankrolled by Dr. Pamela Olet, Chief Executive Officer at the state agency, Kenya Tsetse and Trypanosomiasis Eradication Council (KenTTEC).
Sources say that some of the members of the group are being exploited of Dr. Olet, the owner of Meledan Club in community area, Nairobi.
At one particular time, Dr. Olet who seems to be fighting numerous wars hired the outfit to create chaos at Capital Hill Police station OCS when she was at loggerheads with a City private developer.
The group is known of arm-twisting their targets into dancing to Dr. Olet’s tune reportedly in exchange of monetary favours and free drinks at Club Meladen owned by their sponsor.
Stakeholders are up in arms demanding clear information regarding physical address of the disgruntled activist who have perfected the art of operating from the streets.
According to an insider, the outfit’s main mission is not to champion for the citizen rights but to look for handouts from unsuspecting targets, as seen in the case of its two members, Oyugi who fashions himself as the CEO and one Bush who calls himself as the Board Chairman.
Bush, in particular sometimes early this year led an attack on the youth Cabinet Secretary Prof Margret Kobia, after attempts by Dr. Olet to have her men infiltrate the youth board failed.
Bush is a crook impersonating the National Youth Council Kenya chairman and has been illegally singing as the government agency’s bonafide chairman.
What surprise the state security is how a state employee in the name of CEO, Dr. Olet can finance NGOs to fight the same President Uhuru Kenyatta government including organizing demonstration at police station, as was the case of Capital Hill police station.
