Nairobi Expressway to be closed today ahead of official launch

The Nairobi Expressway is set to be closed Saturday 9.00PM in preparation for its official launch.

According to Moja Expressway Company which manages the highway, the trial which commenced on 14^th May, 2022 has come to an end.

“The Nairobi Expressway will remain closed on Saturday, 30^th July 2022 from 9.00PM. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused,” the company said

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to commission the road on a date yet to be disclosed.

“The commissioning will mark a monumental achievement which has given Nairobi a new face,” the Moja Expressway Company stated
