Ndindi Nyoro retains Kiharu parliamentary seat

Ndindi Nyoro has been re-elected Kiharu parliamentary seat in the just concluded General Election after garnering 68,434 votes out of the 80, 612 total votes cast.

He defending the seat against five candidates namely; Karanja Mburi, Judy Makira, Dennis Maina, Joseph Njogu and Erastus Macharia.

Ndindi vied for the Kiharu parliamentary seat in 2017 and won after scooping 60,881 votes against his closest competitor who garnered 35,181 votes.

He made history as a son of peasant farmer being elected as an MP in a constituency that was famous for the prominent politicians it produced, including Julius Kiano, Kenneth Matiba, Gidraph Mwangi among others.

Ndindi preceded Irungu Kang’ata who in 2017 did not defend the seat but instead went for the Murang’a Senator’s position and won.

He took to social media to thank Kiharu residents for their support promising to deliver more during his second term.
