Zend Mobility, an end-to-end logistics solution for moving packages from one location to another is launching to make every car and Okada in Nigeria an ‘Uber for delivery’.
Still in pilot, Zend aims to democratize logistics by matching available spaces with items to be delivered and will make every vehicle plying the road be it a bicycle, motorbike, car or truck driver or owner to make money out of their unused spaces in their cars. These will make delivery as cheap and efficient than ever before.
The platform aims to enable last mile deliveries for businesses who need to send packages to their customers by connecting them to drivers with an empty truck on the road. Businesses define the place of pick-up and drop-off, track the delivery in real time and save their time and money.
Founded by Abraham Ojes, an Online Marketing Manager at Ringier Africa Digital Publishing, the firm is still in its very infant stages and will take some time and resources to launch to the public. But if it launches as a business, Zend will be big business like South Africa’s Empty Trips.
“We are still in our pilot and so much development is going on at the moment,” said the entrepreneur. ” With Zend, we can enable last mile deliveries for businesses who need to send packages to their customers by connecting them to drivers with an empty trunk. Businesses can define the place of pick-up and drop-off, track the delivery in real time and save over 50% more.”
