Kenyan media personality Njambi Koikai has revealed the tough conditions she has to returned home to after her long stay in the US while seeking medical treatment.
In a post on her Instagram page, Njambi said she is required to live in a germs free environment for the purpose of her recovery.
“Due to the nature of my recovery, I’m required to be in a sterile environment,” Njambi posted.
Njambi also mentioned on a post on Monday that it has not been easy for her condition back here in Kenya because the Nairobi air is dry and quite thin.
“My recovery process is not a swift one and there are days I feel so ill. I haven’t slept a wink. Nairobi air is dry and quite thin for me and for most people who have respiratory issues. In that regard, I have a heater and a humidifier that is on at all times for the air to be moisturised,” Njambi said.
“Last night though, the temps were quite low and my oxygen levels kept fluctuating. My doctors were all on standby just in case I headed to the emergency,” she added.
According to Njambi, the thin air makes it hard for her to breathe because it blocks her air passage making it hard to expel mucous and other fluids from her body.
Last week Njambi jetted back in the country after being away in the United States for more than a year where she was undergoing Endometriosis treatment.
“… Good to be home. I am happy to be home again and thank God for all He has done for me. I am so happy to meet my family and all of you, “she said.
Since she was 29 years, Njambi has been undergoing a series of surgeries and complications after she was diagnosed with endometriosis.
