National Olympic committee of Kenya has confirmed that Kenya will be represented by twenty participants in the upcoming World Youth Olympic Games slated for 4th-16th next month in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Kenyan team will leave the country on 2nd next month.
Kenya will be represented in three sporting disciplines; athletics, hockey and swimming.
Germany-based Maria Brunlehner, who struck two gold medals and a silver medal in swimming at the Africa Youth Games, is Kenya’s sole representative in swimming.

Men’s hockey team will comprise nine players who include among others Ivan Morgan, Brian Nyabuto and Paul Navangi.
The team has already started a training camp at City Park.
Five boys and five girls will feature in athletics at the event.
They include javelin throwers Martha Nthanza Musai, who won Gold in girls’ championship at the Africa Youth Games and Ita Nao, who claimed silver in boys’ event.
Others include Fancy Cherono, who won gold in girls’ 2,000m steeplechase and Dennis Mutuku Matheka, who settled for silver in the boys’ competition alongside Edinah Jebitok and Nickson Pariken.
Francis Leshoo and Angela Ndungwa will battle in boys’ and girls’ 800m with Jackson Kavesa and Mercy Chepkorir making the 3,000m team.
