HMD Global has announced availability of the new Nokia C31 in the Kenyan market. The new devices features a 6.7-inch HD Display, a longer lasting battery and new AI-powered battery saving features.

HMD Global Chief Executive Officer Florian Seiche said that,“The Nokia C-series is about making quality and durability accessible – Nokia C31 sets new standards not only for the range, but entry-level smartphones in general. Everyone should be able to enjoy a great mobile experience.

The new phone is powered by Android 12. There’s a set of three cameras at the back and a selfie camera that HMD says is powered by ‘Camera by Google’. The device also features better protection form dust and moisture, thanks to IP52 certification.

HMD Global senior business manager East Africa Gopher Ogembo said that, “By combining quality materials with smart features, and top-level security we’re delivering the longevity our fans have come to expect.”

The company explains that the triple rear and selfie cameras powered by Camera by Google deliver incredible images day or night – including beautifully blurred portrait shots on the selfie camera and powerful night imagery.

Of the display, the company says the improved 6.7” HD display brings your experiences to life in brilliant definition, whether you’re streaming your favourite show, answering emails on the sofa, or taking a trip down memory lane looking through photos.

The Nokia C31 also comes with the GoPro Quik App preinstalled so you can shoot, edit and share your creativity from anywhere.
