A UDA nominated senator was today kicked out of parliament buildings after she arrived in stained clothes.

Gloria Orwoba had arrived at parliament buildings on Tuesday in a white pant suit stained with some red stuff on her behind.

She was apparently advocating for free distribution of pads to girls and women in prison.

Gloria’s move has received mixed reactions from Kenyans online with some describing the move as bold and some calling it reckless.

“This is a bold woman. I hope that her message is well received and the necessary changes effected. Sanitary towels are crucial for all girls and women. Society should be well informed to end stigma and shame surrounding menstruation / periods,” @MercyNgendo tweeted.

“Having visited our prisons and witnessed what women go through during their monthly periods, I applaud the senator for bearing the shame and stigma for that silent constituency. She is BOLD,” @Wachira_Crispus tweeted.

“He’ll no, why advocate when he can talk to Ruto directly?? Save us from these PR stunts bwana,” @Okong’oBO1 said.

“Heeei women will never know how to express themselves buana, warrathis,” @c_qallo wrote.

A debate about making sanitary pads free is currently going on on Twitter.

The hash tag #FreeThePeriod and pads then condoms is calling on the government to make pads free just like condoms.
