KISII, Kenya Jan 2 – A teacher from Nyamira County who went missing on December 30, 2022, has been found dead.

His body was discovered in a local nurse’s house following investigation by police.

Police said the decomposing and mutilated body of the 47-year-old man was found hidden in a room used for poultry keeping and was covered with a carpet.

It was established that the house where the deceased was found belonged to a nurse working at Nyamaiya Health Centre.

“Police gained entry into the house by breaking the door since the owner was nowhere to be found,” police said.

Police traced the body to the house after the deceased teacher’s spouse filed a missing person’s report citing that he was last seen being dropped off by a boda-boda operator at the Egesieri village on the day of the incident.

Subsequently, police were forced to break into the house and it is there that they discovered the deceased’s body.

The deceased’s body has since been moved to Nyamira County Hospital pending a postmortem as police continue investigations into the incident.
