Kenyan hip hop star Henry Ohanga popularly known as Octopizzo has revealed working with veteran luo benga maestro Dr Osito Kalle in his upcoming album
.The number nane rapper made the revelation through his social media platforms, Instagram and Facebook maintaining that he was star struck when he bumped into Osito Kalle who’s regarded as one of the most influential benga musicians.
“Linked up with the Legendary Osito Kalle the other day.I was so star struck 🤩 he’ll have an appearance on my next album 💿” Wrote Octopizzo.
His fans enthusiastically applauded him for the move while looking forward for the great masterpiece in the pipeline.

Riding On The Success Of Newest album ‘Lamu Nights
Octopizzo is currently riding high with his newest collaborative album dubbed ‘Lamu Nights’ which was dropped in October 2022.
A fortnight ago, Octopizzo held the ‘Lamu Nights’ listening party at the Mara Ole Sereni Hotel backed up by a band.The album is far from what many expected from Octopizzo as it consists of Afro,Jazz and R&B unlike hip hop what he’s mostly known for.Lisa Oduor,Wendy Kay and Costar Ojwang are some of the artist’s whose vibes are found in the album.
“Lamu nights was just a feel good album,i think it’s not what people expected from me being an R&B like record,wasee wamezoea ule Octo wa kurap sana and i think I like trying new sounds like even my next album will not be the same” He stated.
He added that the album was not only a celebration for his milestones but also a showcase to other lyrical geniuses who are yet to get the much needed recognition.
“I wanted one to just appreciate myself and feel good about the little that I’ve made and also bring artists that i have been listening to that i feel should be played and should be known but I feel like people are not giving them attention ” He explained
Slowed Down On Working With Rappers
Octopizzo further revealed that he slowed down on working with rappers as many fans forget about the music treating it like a competition on who had the greatest bars and punchlines.
However,he maintained that the move doesn’t lock out rappers completely as he mentioned high flying singer and rapper Nyashinki earning a feature in the coming album.
Remember when Dr Osito Kalle made former president Uhuru shake a leg during Madaraka Day celebrations in Kisumu.Is that what we’re expecting when he teams up with Octopizzo? Only time will tell.
