Activist Okiya Omtatah has said that he will move to court to with prayers to bar vetting of two National Land Commission (NLC) nominees by Parliament after recess.

Omtatah condemned the team that was tasked to pick the nominees that drafted Esther Murugi and Tiya Galgalo as board members.

He questioned their merit saying they had been selected to be members of the board yet they applied for commission’s chairperson. Omtatah now wants the two dismissed to give room to those who qualified for the position.

On Monday, President Uhuru Kenyatta forwarded a list of nine nominees to serve in the National Land Commission to Parliament for final approval.
