The Kenya Urban roads Authority (Kura) has clarified that a section of the Thika-bound service lane will be closed for two days this weekend, and not one.
In a tweet, Kura said that the lane that will be affected is at the Ruaraka Interchange which will be partly closed on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday September 1, 2019 from 6am to 5pm.

Kura had last week advised motorists, who use the Thika Superhighway, that parts of the superhighway would be closed on Sunday September 1 to enable installation of overpass beams.
In a notice to motorists on Saturday, Kura said that it is the Thika-bound service lane that will be affected.
OVERPASS
Part of the Thika Superhighway has had two of its lanes closed for the last month to allow for the construction of the overpass.
The overpass is being constructed in the Allsops area, which is meant to ease traffic transition between the two major roads.
In April, Kura announced that the Allsops area will be closed for a period of three months.
