This is the latest arrest in the wake of a crackdown on drug trafficking that has seen the homes of several suspects raided.

Among them is the home of Mombasa tycoon Ali Punjani which was raided after the Akasha brothers implicated him in the trade.

Also named in the confession is controversial politician Stanley Livondo.

The biggest seizure was made in 2016 when authorities arrested two suspects linked to a consignment of 100 kilogrammes of cocaine valued at Sh598 million disguised as sugar.
