Police Launch Investigations Into Bomas Chaos – GhettoRadio 89.5 FM

Police have launched investigations into the chaos that happened at the Bomas of Kenya on Monday, just before IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati announced William Ruto as the winner of the presidential elections.

In a statement, the National Police Service Commission says that they have obtained CCTV footage on the fracas that ensued at Bomas of Kenya which is the National Tallying centre.

“On the second incident which involved fracas at the IEBC National Tallying Centre-Bomas, police are seized of the matter and pursuing investigation. CCTV files have been collected and forwarded for further forensic analysis to aid investigation,” reads the statement.

Chaos erupted at the Bomas of Kenya on Monday after Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Party agents and Kenya Kwanza agents differed on the presidential results.

The officers are also investigating the disappearance and brutal murder of the Embakasi East Constituency Returning Officer.

Fifty three year old Daniel Musyoka’s body was discovered on the 15th of August in Loitoktok, Kajiado County.

“In the first incident, police are investigating the disappearance and brutal murder of the 53-year-old Daniel Musyoka, an IEBC Returning Officer for Embakasi East Constituency,” reads the statement.

“The deceased went missing on 11th August 2022 and his body found on 15th August 2022 within Loitoktok in Kajiado County. DCI homicide detectives investigating the murder witnessed a post-mortem today and samples have been taken for further forensic analysis.”

Meanwhile both Embakasi East MP Babu owino and his fierce opponent Mureithi Wambugu have denied involvement in the murder.

The two have in the past 24 hours traded barbs and accused each other of the murder.
