Vivo has announced the official launch of the V19 Smartphone in Kenya. The new device will go on sale from July 2nd and the company has set a retail price of KES. 40,999. Currently, interested parties can place pre-orders at Vivo outlets.
This is the same launch price as that of the Vivo V17 Pro which they announced back in December of 2019. Essentially, though a couple of things are the same between the V17 pro and the new V19, the V19 is the better device in a couple of things including the new version of Android, the better processor, faster storage, and faster charging.
The device features dual punch-hole selfie cameras on top of the Super AMOLED display. The company says the V19 brings together extraordinary selfie capabilities and advanced technology in an elegant package to deliver an innovative mobile experience for consumers.
“vivo is committed to innovating with the consumer in mind, and the V19 reflects our deep understanding of consumers’ needs. With industry-leading selfie technology, a beautiful design, and strong performance, V19 is perfect for young consumers who care about the camera and entertainment features” said Arthur Xian, vivo Kenya CEO.
“V19 is a trendsetting smartphone built to complement young consumers’ lifestyles. Uniquely designed with a dual front camera that offers significant advantages for selfie lovers over other smartphones in its class, V19 is a breakthrough for the Kenyan market,” added Arthur Xian.
The V19 is a pretty impressive device. At the back, there’s an L-shaped Quad Rear Camera Setup, with an LED flash. The setup includes a 48MP Primary Camera, an 8MP Ultra-wide Angle lens, a 2MP Macro Lens, and another 2MP Bokeh lens for depth.
Running Android 10, the device is powered by a Snapdragon 712 with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of fast UFS 2.1 storage. You won’t be having battery issues with the device because of the huge 4500mAh battery. But that’s not the most impressive part. The icing to everything is the 33W fast charger included in the box. Fast chargers are amazing, as I’ve already bickered in other posts. I am also glad there’s USB Type-C, so no complaints here. – Announcement article
