President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured Kenyans that one can recover from COVID-19 following the success story of two Kenyans who have fully recovered.
President Kenyatta engaged the two on their recovery journey in a video conferencing call at Afya House Wednesday.
The two recoveries Brenda and Brain also called on Kenyans to adhere to the Governments directives in the efforts to curb the spread of the virus.
They were making their first public appearance since they tested positive of coronavirus.

Brenda who had been to the US and London appeared calm and relieved as she explained how she took herself to Mbagathi for tests days after she had travelled back.
The President expressed his gratitude to Brenda for her courage to come out and take herself to hospital after she developed coronavirus like symptoms. “We are proud of you, we celebrate your bravely and you support in helping identify those you came into contact with.” He said.
President Kenyatta urged Kenyans to follow Brenda’s example saying those who have the symptoms should not hide but rather come out and seek treatment saying it is the only way to curb the spread of the virus.
He thanked the medical staff across the Country dealing with coronavirus cases saying they are doing a wonderful job.
President Uhuru urged Kenyans to obey the Government’s directive on the curfew even as he regretted the use of brutal force by police officers but commended the security agencies for enhancing security across the Country.
