United Democratic Alliance Presidential Candidate William Ruto says his main rival in the Presidential poll, Raila Odinga of Azimio la Umoja, does not identify with the challenges facing a majority of Kenyans.

Ruto in fact claims Raila does not understand what goes on in the lives of ordinary citizens and therefore cannot provide solutions to their problems.

“The greatest problem facing our country are leaders like Raila Odinga who have never gone to bed without food, they don’t understand what sleep hungry is all about,” he said

Ruto who camped in Upper Eastern promising to prioritize addressing the current cost of living argued that Raila only reads about what goes on in Kenya through the media and lacks direct interaction with challenges Kenyans go through on daily basis.

Deputy President William Ruto who led Kenya Kwanza campaigns at Maua and Tuskys, Meru County, Marimanti & Chuka Town, Tharaka-Nithi County, and at Mbeere, Embu county Thursday, reiterated that his bottom-up economic model has stipulated a raft of measures aimed at improving the lives of ordinary Kenyans. He promised to revive the economy if his alliance wins the August 9th general election.

He said Kenyans ought to make a choice that will liberate them from issues facing them, 59 years after independence by offering equal opportunity for everyone.

The DP said the Kenyan Kwanza alliance has a marshal plan that will help create employment for the youth.

Leaders who accompanied him urged the electorate to vote for their presidential candidate claiming he has a good agenda for Kenyans.
