Raila Junior has told off National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) director Vincent Muasya over his recent statement that Kenya will not legalize the medicinal use of marijuana.
Raila Junior said that Mr Muasya, popularly known as Chipukeezy, did not attend a debate surrounding the discussion of legalizing the drug despite being invited.
“I was invited for some interview months ago to debate Vincent Muasya of NACADA openly on the proposed medical bill, he never honored the invitation so it’s unfortunate to see him at a presser on the said issue,” he tweeted.
Chipukeezy had on Friday dismissed calls to have marijuana legalised for medicinal purposes.
“Most of these politicians who are pushing for the legalisation of marijuana are just creating excitement and that is where my beef starts,” he said in a press conference.
According to him, most patients were suffering from mental illness due to the use of the substance.
