Azimio La Umoja leader Raila Odinga’s vehicle was on Friday hit during the Saba Saba protests in Nairobi.
Raila’s car was hit when he was apparently making his way to the Central park through the CBD.
The procession was however met by fierce counter by anti-riot police officers who sprayed the protesters with water canons.
An assessment of the car showed damages on the sides of the vehicle and broken damaged during running battles between protesters and anti-riot police.
The Azimio leaders were forced to scamper for safety and head to the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation (JOOF) centre where the damage on the vehicles was inspected in front of the press.
Addressing journalists, Raila claimed his vehicle was hit by a live bullet fired by police whom he claim were aiming for his life.
Meanwhile Raila Odinga has vowed to continue with the signature collection to impeach President William Ruto.
