Singer Ray C did not have it back in her late 20’s. As reported she was caught up in drugs and for some reason the addiction pushed her almost to the edge!
Luckily those close to her ensured she stayed alive until when former president Tanzania president Jokaya Kikwete stepped in to help the singer. She was then taken to rehab and after almost a year; Ray C came out clean and we believe she has since changed her lifestyle.
However her former boyfriend rapper Lord Eyes was accused of introducing her to these drugs. Speaking about this six years ago Ray C revealed how Lord Eyes used to lace her weird with stronger drugs that left her hooked. Ray C narrated her story exposing her ex saying;

I was not aware that he used any hard drugs, I was only aware of light drugs during our one year of dating. When I love, I love wholeheartedly so it is easy to be taken advantage of. Sijawahi kumfunza mtu yeyote kutumia madawa. Nimemkuta (Ray C) ameshawahi kutumia.
Lord Eyes responds
Speaking about this issue, Lord denied introducing his ex to using hard drugs. According to him, Ray C had already been using by the time they met.
He pinned the whole issue on Ray C adding that he would never tell lies about her since they genuinely loved each for a long time. Mr Lord who is still in the music business went on to add;
Sijawahi kumfunza mtu yeyote kutumia madawa. Nimemkuta (Ray C) ameshawahi kutumia. Yule mwanadada lazima nimsifu na siwezi nikakaa sehemu nikamu-attack kwa sababu kweli nilimpenda. Ni mtu ambaye ana upendo wa kweli. Ni mzuri sana, sema wivu ndilo lilivuruga libeneke lile. Alikuwa na wivu kupitiliza kwenye kazi (music) ikawa inasumbua ilibidi tu-split.
