Renowned Kenyan reggae and dancehall hype man John Maina popularly known as Mc Fullstop has announced that he is officially retiring from his art, a tough decision which has been caused by illness.
The celebrated emcee who has been in the entertainment industry since the 90s broke the news via his social media pages revealing his struggle with Pneumothorax (collapsed lung).
Mc Fullstop has been battling TB since 2021 and the disease which kept recurring has sadly cost him one his lungs, his voice and some of his abilities like walking.

Mc Fullstop has also penned down a special message to his fans and everyone who has been supporting his art adding that they have truly been a blessing in his life.
“Alafu lungs zina lungs ufala unlike Liver, haiwezi ji heal itabidi nijipange hapa naona niki hang boots. I just wanna say thanks kwa wale wamekuwa wakini support in this difficult moments God awa bless tu sana.”

Mc Fullstop’s Emceeing Journey
Mc Fullstop is a reggae emcee with a career spanning over two decades.
Fullstop made his debut in 1994 when he was only fourteen years old. He was mentored by a fellow entertainer, quickly blossoming to become his own man.
At one point, he was also part of the Supremacy Sound show on K24, a popular dancehall reggae show that aired every Saturday at midday.
His contract with the show was suddenly cancelled in 2021 and soon after he became sick.
