Registrar gazettes intended Wetangula ouster – KBC

The Registrar of Political Parties has gazetted the intended removal of Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula as the Ford Kenya Party Leader.

Also ejected from the party is the party’s organising secretary Chris Mandu Mandu.

“IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 20 (1 ) (c) of the Political Panics Act. 2011, the Registrar of Political Panics gives notice that the Ford Kenya Party intends to change its party officials….” reads the gazette notice.

The ousted leaders have been given seven days to register their complaints.

“Any person with written submissions concerning the intended change by the political party, shall within seven (7) days from the date herein deposit them with the Registrar of Political Parties” adds the notice.

A special NEC meeting of the party voted to replace Mr Wetang’ula with Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi.  Ms Josephine Maungu was picked as the new organizing secretary replacing Mandu.

Ford Kenya party officials last week officially submitted documents with the Registrar of Political Parties bearing leadership changes.
