Strugglers Wazito and Thika United will light up the battle against relegation Saturday afternoon when they face Zoo Kericho and Nzoia Sugar respectively in the SportPesa Premier League (SPL) round 30 matches.

Thika, who are at the base of the SPL table, will play guests to Nzoia at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma, while newbies Wazito will host Zoo at Camp Toyoyo as they fight to avoid returning to the lower tier.

It will be another chance for Bandari goalkeeper Farouk Shikhalo to firm up his chances of winning this season’s Golden Glove as his team welcome Nakumatt to Mombasa.

Shikhalo has kept 17 clean sheets for the dockers this season, a statistic that has brought his team to second place on table with a neat unbeaten run spanning 13 games.

“It has been a good season for us so far and we want to ensure that we finish second. All those clean sheets have been as a result of team work.

“In every match we usually battle as a team from defence to the striking force and I think the coaches have done well too with us.

“I desire the golden glove because it will be a personal reward to the hard work I have put in this season,” Shikhalo said.
