SafeBoda, a motorcycle hailing and delivery platform, has signed up 3,000 drivers in Nairobi since its launch in the city and has announced a 40 percent cut in prices to pursue more users.

SafeBoda drivers will also be getting smartphones and motorcycles loans from partners such as Watu Credit, Transsion among others while its commuters in Nairobi will enjoy rides of as low as 60 bob to avoid the crippling traffic.

“Think of all the things that one could do if they had the freedom to move whenever they wanted, safely, conveniently and more importantly, now very affordably,” announced the firm. “With prices slashed by over 40%​ you can now get around Nairobi with SafeBoda for as little as 60 bob!!”

Recent research confirms that everyday commuting in Nairobi and its environs has people losing at least 4-5 hours spent in traffic every day. This is only getting worse with increasing populations in and around Nairobi. The loss in productivity to the lives of Nairobians to make money and provide for their families is huge.

The firm aims to end Nairobians traffic woes, getting late, lost time in traffic to increase productivity and put more money in its users’ pockets.
