Samsung is expanding it’s latest One UI 4.1.1 from the Galaxy Z fold 4 and Galaxy z Flip 4 to the previous generations of Galaxy foldable and smartwatches. The new UI brings onboard features including multitasking gestures, optimizations for large screen devices, first-party enhancements and a PC-Like taskbar for phones and new watch customizations., drag and drop apps to create a spilt view and much more.
The Galaxy Z series will also receive new ways to capture full photography advantage of Galaxy Z folds on two distinct sets of screens. The Dual preview lets you see the shot at the same time before it’s captured by displaying the image both on the main and cover screen and gives you full control to take high-resolution pictures.
Samsung says The software updates will start with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 beginning on September 5 and roll out gradually to global countries. One UI 4.1.1 will be also extended to Galaxy Z Fold2, Z Flip and Z Fold.1 One UI Watch4.5 will be supported on Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic.2 In addition, Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active2 users will be able to enjoy a software update3 that delivers selected features from the One UI Watch4.5.”
The One UI Watch 4.5 first got a full release on the Galaxy Watch 5 and is now also coming to the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. That means six new interactive watch faces and additional customizations, as well as a new QWERTY keyboard. The verge publication disclosed.
Additional features coming to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 include the ability to adjust settings, make calls and dial back missed calls and reply to texts using voice to text from the cover screen and even take selfies with the main camera using the rear camera selfie.
Samsung has confirmed Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch Active 2 are eligible for a separate software update around the end of September that will deliver “selected features” from One UI Watch 4.5, such as two new watch faces, snore analysis, and support for blood pressure and ECG measuring in the Samsung Health Monitor app.
