The snake reportedly came from the 14 seater Nissan Shuttle after the vehicle reached Kakamega School Of medicine.
Kedias Musungu a passenger who had boarded the vehicle expressed shock at the abnormal incident.
“This evening we were shocked after a snake alighted from a matatu that was ferrying people from Malaba to Kakamega. The snake is unique to us in that it is abnormally big and shinning as if it was oiled,” narrated Musungu.
“The snake specifically alighted opposite Kakamega school of Medicine where it at first tried to cross the road but it got rammed by another vehicle from behind,” he further narrated.
The incident reportedly caused shock and panic to the passengers that had boarded the matatu.
Hammed Maluma one of the Matatu drivers in Kakamega condemned the incident adding that it had ruined the matatu reputation.
“I have condemned what has happened today in Kakamega. This has ruined matatu reputation and respect. This will largely affect our business as many will fear or refuse to board our matatus,” said Maluma.
