The national rugby sevens team Shujaa held off Samoa for a 24-19 victory in Cape Town as they kicked off the second leg of the World Rugby Series in winning fashion.

Shujaa were leading 17- 7 at half-time with Dan Sikuta scoring the first try but winger Daniel Taabu missed the extras to make it 05-00 in the third minute.
Alvin Otieno scored his first try of the match and third try of this season in the fifth minute, Taabu’s conversion going wide to make it 10-00.
Samoa replied with a try from Perez inside the posts Alosio converting it at the seventh minute bringing it 10-07.
Daniel Taabu got the ball after a well played maul to score a try for Shujaa converting it to make it 17-07 at halftime.
Feeney brought in Willy Ambaka, Bush Mwale, deputy skipper Jacob Ojee and Johnstone Olindi in the second half Billy Odhiambo writing his name in the score sheet Taabu converting it to make it 24-07.
Samoa’s substitute Tuatagaloa scored his team’s second try converting it with Perez adding his second Tuatagaloa missing the extras at full time to make it 24-19.
Kenya face Australia in their second Pool D match on Saturday 11:57 am (EAT).
